The essential work done by the ASRC never stops. Your support will bolster our frontline services so people seeking asylum can access essential services without having to wait, and have the full enjoyment of their human rights.

People seeking asylum face many barriers to live independently and are increasingly presenting at the ASRC with financial stress, complex mental health issues and greater impacts on their wellbeing.
Yet people seeking asylum are determined to rebuild their lives in safety and must be given the opportunities to do so.
Unfair and inhumane Government policies are keeping people locked out of society, living in limbo and left without support for years and even decades.
It’s keeping people from rebuilding their lives and putting them at risk of destitution and homelesness. And it’s taking a greater toll on people’s mental health and physical wellbeing.
Over the past two years we have seen demand for our services increase, at one point by more than 200%.
We have listened to our community and we’re challenging ourselves to be even better at helping people by changing our services with the establishment of our Rapid Response Team. This unique new humanitarian aid model will provide responsive, integrated and streamlined access to a range of services like food, housing and healthcare. It will mean we can offer more people support straight away, and greater choices of when and how they access our services.
