The Medevac repeal legislation has passed in the Senate,
stripping away people’s access to essential medical care and denying them of their most fundamental human right.
Without Medevac, we know the process to get people help is now so much harder.
But our work does not stop today. Instead, the ASRC has been tasked with the responsibility to be the frontline support for sick people left in PNG and Nauru.
Together with your support we achieved so much under the Medevac legislation, and today’s result doesn’t change that. But now we need your support to continue this fight.
Today, we are more determined to fight harder than ever before, not just for the medical care of people in detention but for their safe resettlement.
Advocate. Donate. Participate. Do what you can to give hope to those who need it most.
Hate and fear may have won this moment, but we know that when we come together as a community of compassion, eventually justice will prevail.
Chip in today to help us keep fighting the good fight.
