The ASRC: 15 years in the making
Fifteen years ago, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) started as a 20 square metre shop front with a humble idea; that for people seeking asylum wouldn’t go hungry.
Since then we have helped over 13,000 refugees and people seeking asylum.
Our CEO, Kon shares a personal message with you today.
But our birthday is bittersweet.
Today, we are faced with the worst humanitarian crisis in the last 40 years. It’s never been tougher for people seeking refuge in Australia.
And it gets worse. We are faced with the greatest need in our history, a five-fold increase in demand for our services. We can’t meet this need alone – we need your help.
There’s never been a more important time to stand with us as partners and protectors of human rights.
Please make a donation now (scroll down) to help us prevent 24,500 people seeking asylum from being sent back to harm.
