Moved by the Generosity of Man with a Van
Companies across Australia are leading social change by partnering with charities and non-profit organisations like the ASRC to champion compassion and freedom.
Founded 18 years ago in Melbourne by then university student Tim Bishop, Tim saw a gap in the market for friendly and reliable movers at affordable prices and so began Man with a Van. Once the business was up and running, staff and management voted to offer their services to those who needed it most, hence becoming pro-bono partners with charities across Melbourne.
Man with a Van has been the ASRC’s partner-in-good since 2014. “We have always helped charities and non-for-profits that often receive donations or need assistance moving material items. With the ASRC, we’ve been doing it for almost 5 years” says Alex, manager at Man with a Van.
From collecting food to fill our Foodbank shelves or moving donated office chairs to provide seating for our english classrooms, the team at Man with a Van have always lent a hand.
“This is our way to give back to the community. Our staff identify with the values of the ASRC and see themselves as forward-thinking and progressive people, responding to the needs of a community that wants change. It’s a way to put the team’s skills into good use” said Alex.
Corporate partnership is a great way to give back to the community and connect with the positive values of your customers.
