End of Year Celebrations

We warmly invite all ASRC clients, members, and their families to join us in celebrating the end of the year on Monday, 22nd December. This special gathering is a chance for our community to come together, share a joyful moment, and enjoy a festive atmosphere.

There will be a delicious festive lunch for everyone, plenty of toys and gifts for children, and a range of children’s entertainment and fun activities suitable for all ages. It’s a wonderful opportunity to relax, connect, and celebrate with others as we look forward to the year ahead.

Trauma Informed Yoga

A gentle yoga session designed to help you relax, stretch, and reconnect with your body and mind.
Join us for an afternoon of mindfulness, movement, and community connection in a calm and supportive environment. Suitable for all levels, no experience needed.
Open for all genders ages and abilities

When: Every Thursday, starting 30th October for 8 weeks

Free ArtAbility® Workshops

A relaxing and creative art workshop where you can explore self-expression, learn new artistic skills, and connect with others in a welcoming community space. Join ADEC’s Free ArtAbility® Workshops to discover the joy of painting, share your story through art, and create beautiful pieces for an exhibit.

When: Thursdays, 6th November – 18th December 2025

Kyokushin Karate (5 years & older)

Introduction to Karate fosters physical fitness, discipline and social
interaction within a safe and supportive environment. Karate
provides an ideal opportunity to embark on a martial arts journey in a
fun and engaging manner.
Parent/guardian participation with child/children is encouraged.
The classes are free of charge.

Quilting Class

Women clients/members learn quilting skills in a fun and supportive space. Build sewing and design confidence while creating beautiful handmade quilts that reflect creativity and community connection.

Women’s Zumba in West Sunshine

Dance your way to better health and fitness from inside and out.
Suitable for all abilities and fitness levels. Boys under 10 permitted.
Parent/Guardian is required to attend and supervise children.
The classes are free of charge.

Sewing

If you’re an ASRC member or client, we’d love for you to join our Friday Sewing Group! It’s a relaxed, social space where women come together to sew, chat, and create. We focus on quilting — a wonderful way to share stories, learn new skills, and make something beautiful together.

SRSS - Life Without Barriers

Every Tuesday and Friday, a representative from Life Without Barriers attends the ASRC to support people who would like to learn more about the Status Resolution Support Services (SRSS) program or get help with applications.

Every Thursday, a representative from Settlement Services International (SSI) attends the ASRC to support people who would like to learn more about the Status Resolution Support Services (SRSS) program or get help with applications.

Energy and Water Ombudsman of Victoria

All people seeking asylum are welcome to attend and receive information about their bills directly from a representative of the Energy and Water Ombudsman Victoria (EWOV).

Energy and Water Ombudsman of Victoria

Join us for a Public Speaking Masterclass designed to help you feel more confident when speaking in front of others. You’ll learn techniques to improve your delivery and connect with your audience. The session includes opportunities to practice and receive feedback. Come prepared with a 2–3 minute speech to work on and develop your skills in a relaxed environment

Financial Capacity workshop to Prevent Family Violence

Financial education workshop for migrant and refugee women to prevent family violence, build resilience, navigate rising costs, and gain practical knowledge, support, and referrals.
