This winter, help stock the ASRC Foodbank so refugees and people seeking asylum don’t go without life’s essentials.
Right now, more than 1200 people rely on the ASRC Foodbank each month. With no income support and no access to mainstream safety nets, your donations help ensure our community doesn’t go hungry.
We’re calling on our community of compassion to donate essential pantry and personal care items. Every item counts. Every act helps.
Drop-off Details
Where: ASRC Refugee Resource Hub, Oldham Lane, Dandenong VIC 3175
When: 10AM – 2PM, Saturday 26 July
We kindly ask that you only donate items from our most-needed list below – this ensures we can meet the real and urgent needs of the people we support.
Most needed items:
- Tuna in oil (any size)
- Coconut milk/cream
- Sweet & savoury biscuits
- Toothpaste & toothbrushes
- Dried fruit & nuts
- Deodorant
- Honey, peanut butter, jam
- Tinned vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, tomatoes)
- Oil 750ml – 1 litre
- Dried legumes (chickpeas, lentils, mung beans etc.)
- Razors
- Toothpaste & toothbrushes
Please don't bring:
- Baked beans, tinned spaghetti or tinned soup
- Toys, household items or clothing
Can't make it on the day?
Bring donations to the Refugee Resource Hub, 205 Thomas Street, Dandenong VIC 3175, during business hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 10AM – 4PM
Wednesday and Friday by arrangement (call 8772 1380)
You can also drop off items at any of our Drop Off locations around Melbourne.
Ordering food through Coles Online is still the most convenient way to support the work of our Foodbank. Please see instructions below and follow our Instagram or Facebook pages for a current list of items to donate.
Instructions for Coles online:
- Go to Coles Online and log in or sign up to Coles (right-hand side of screen)
- Select “delivery”
- Add delivery address: 214 Nicholson St, Footscray 3011
- Select a delivery slot: must choose Tuesday or Thursday only 9AM – 3PM timeslot (please note a delivery fee may apply)
- Start shopping then go to checkout
- Delivery type: click “sign for delivery”
- Delivery instructions: please deliver to rear of building, roller door opposite 46 Albert street, call 0431 022 665 on arrival
