Our extraordinary ambassadors the Cat Empire are calling on Melbourne to help the ASRC. Members of the band will be at 3 locations to meet and greet those donating to our foodbank and material aid program.

Cat Empire are extremely passionate about the work of the ASRC. In their own word they say, “Wherever you stand on the asylum seeker debate, it is an irrefutable fact that Australia is currently treating asylum seekers and refugees very poorly. Seeking asylum is a right for all – regardless of how you get here.” 

Man with a Van have also offered to lend a hand and delivery all the donations safely to our centre in Footscray.

ITEMS NEEDED:

What we’d love you to bring:

  •     Blankets (in good condition)
  •     Disposable nappies
  •     Canned legumes without sauce (chickpeas, lentils, kidney beans, etc)
  •     Canned diced tomatoes
  •     Spreads (honey, jam, tahini, peanut butter)
  •     Sweet or savoury biscuits/crackers
  •     UHT full-cream milk
  •     Canned sardines and salmon
  •     Gift cards (Kmart, Big W, Target)
