Join ASRC’s Winter Food Drive to Support Refugees in Dandenong

This winter, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) invites you to bring hope and warmth to refugee families by participating in our Winter Food Drive on Saturday, July 27th, at the Refugee Resource Hub in Dandenong. This heartwarming event is your chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of refugees and people seeking asylum who rely on the ASRC Foodbank.

Donations will be collected at the Refugee Resource Hub, 205 Thomas St Dandenong VIC from 10am – 2pm. Drop off your donations at the rear of the building in Oldham Lane.

The continued cost of living crisis is creating an increased need for support from people seeking asylum in the Dandenong region, many of who rely on the ASRC Foodbank to feed their families. The Winter Food Drive is a vital effort to ensure that no one goes hungry during the colder months. Your donations will help provide nutritious meals and basic necessities to families in need.

Donation Items Needed:

  • Non-perishable food items: Tuna in oil, coconut cream, honey, peanut butter, basmati rice, tinned vegetables, oil, dried fruit, nuts.
  • Personal care items: Razors, deodorant.

Individuals, workplaces and community groups can get involved in several ways, including:

  • Donating Food: Bring your non-perishable food and personal care items to the Refugee Resource Hub during the event.
  • Spread the Word: Share information about the Winter Food Drive with your friends, family, and community.
