Moonee Ponds mobilises for #KidsOffNauru

A small group of volunteers mobilise support in Bill Shorten’s electorate.

This Wednesday #RightTrack volunteers hit the streets of Maribyrnong electorate in support of the #KidsOffNauru campaign and #EvacuateNow.

Volunteers spoke to hundreds of people and mobilised constituents to take action. All afternoon, people made phone calls to Bill Shorten’s office and hand-wrote personal letters.

We know that in order to end offshore detention once and for all, we need all hands on deck.

They urged Shorten to commit that a Labor government would safely evacuate all refugees and people seeking asylum off Nauru, including the 117 children and their families currently detained on the island.

We know that in order to end offshore detention once and for all, we need all hands on deck. That’s why on Saturday 8 September, #RightTrack is going to be out in Moonee Ponds mobilising people to make calls and write letters to Mr. Shorten from 10:00am – 3:00pm.

We need volunteers!

Join us on Saturday by emailing Bella at bella.w@asrc.org.au.
