On Sunday, December 15th, join our annual Festive Food Drive at the ASRC in Footscray

The ASRC’s annual Festive Food Drive is on again this year, and the impact of your support has never been felt more widely.

With the increase in the cost of living and people seeking asylum relying on the ASRC Foodbank, we are calling on our community of compassion to help us put food on the table for approximately 1,200 people each month, who have no safety net and no other means of support in Australia.

Please join us in making a kinder festive season for refugees and people seeking asylum.

Where: Opposite to 46 Albert St, Footscray, rear of the
ASRC building.

When: 10AM – 2PM on Sunday, December 15th.

We do please ask that you ONLY bring foods from the list below

Essential food items are our priority, and sticking to the list ensures that our community’s needs are met, and we make the most out of your donation. We would love your donations of:

Tuna in oil, of any size
Tomato paste
Tinned vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
Coconut cream or milk
Honey/ jam/ peanut butter
Instant coffee
Sweet / savoury biscuits

Dried fruit / Nuts
Basmati Rice
Vegetable or olive oil (750ml – 1l)
Toothbrushes
Toothpaste
Deodorant
Razors

ITEMS WE DON’T RECEIVE/NEED

– Please note that the ASRC does not need baked beans, tinned spaghetti, or tinned soup.
– At this time, we do not require toys or household items or clothes

WHAT ABOUT THE REFUGEE RESOURCE HUB IN DANDENONG?
You can still bring your donations to the Dandenong Hub. The RRH won’t be open on Sunday, December 15th, but you can come throughout the week during our usual open hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 10am -12.30pm and 1pm – 4pm Wednesday and Friday by arrangement only, please contact on 8772 1380.

Please bring donations to the rear of the building, opposite no. 46 Albert St, Footscray. On arrival at the roller door please call 0431 022 665 to open the roller door and greet you and assist with the use of the QR code if needed.

Accepting donations Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10.00- 12.30pm and 1.30pm – 4pm. Please scan the QR code and register your donation so we can thank you for your support.
